My existence
Wujudi
From the Arabic word for my existence. A place to enter the question and explore its potential.
Question one
Why am I?
If I exist, is my existence a cosmic accident, a universal pattern, a need for meaning, or a self-referential question asking itself again?
Question two
What am I?
Am I a body having awareness, or awareness controlling a body without knowing how?
Question three
How am I?
How am I aware? How am I me? Do my cells know what they're a part of? At what point does the collection of matter and life in my body become my consciousness? How is it that I am one? How am I in control?
Thinking
What is a thought?
From the infinite sea of possibility, a thought brings an idea into existence. Even as a notion in the mind, it exists as the simplest form of creation. If a thought creates an idea, what is the thing choosing which thought appears?
Consciousness
The thinker.
I think, therefore I am. I am aware that I am. But I am not aware of what I am. Do I really exist? Or am I just a thought in a greater mind I do not understand?
Life
How does life relate to consciousness?
Do my cells know me? Do they know they are part of me? Am I part of something greater? Does it know I am part of it? Will we ever know each other?
Identity
What keeps me me?
When every cell in my body is replaced as time passes, what remains continuous enough to still be called me?
Time
Is time a where or a when?
Did I always exist? Will I always exist? I exist in time, in a location in the plane of time. A location that a time traveler would see as persistent.
